About the event
Join Tom Taylor, host of Carolina Ghost Towns podcast, for a paddle out to Church Island on Lake Marion. Tom will be recording an episode about this small piece of South Carolina history and we are invited to come along.
The island is home to an old cemetery and the remains of a church site dating back to the early 1800s.
Come enjoy a day paddle on Lake Marion while learning a little bit of SC history. Tom will also be recording during the trip. Participation in the podcast is completely optional.
If you’d like to participate in the conversation, share a story, observation, question, or comment, you’ll have the opportunity to do that.
Pack a lunch and plenty of water.
We will launch at 10AM, paddle to the island where we will explore, record, and have lunch. After lunch there will be time for more paddling.
